Pay teachers in Pakistan, Egypt and Bangladesh through Wise (wise.com) local transfers, or use Payoneer through JazzCash in Pakistan or bKash in Bangladesh. As of 21 October 2026, Wise PKR requires personal accounts, and “business transfers to BDT are not allowed”; confirm account eligibility.

How do you pay teachers in Pakistan through local banks or JazzCash?

For Pakistan, start by asking whether the teacher wants payment into a personal bank account or a JazzCash wallet. As of 21 October 2026, Wise (wise.com) supports the personal bank route, while JazzCash describes a Payoneer withdrawal route. Choose after checking the recipient’s account details, wallet limits, and the amount the teacher will receive after fees.

According to Wise’s PKR help page, you need the recipient’s name and a 24-character IBAN starting with PK. Wise excludes business accounts and Meezan or Allied Express accounts. A valid-looking IBAN does not remove those restrictions, so ask the teacher to confirm the account type before you save the details.

As of 21 October 2026, Wise lists a maximum of PKR 35,000,000 per transfer. Wise says arrival is usually the same day after conversion. That timing starts after conversion; do not promise the teacher that the transfer will arrive as soon as you authorize payment.

JazzCash says freelancers can create or link a Payoneer account inside the JazzCash app and withdraw earnings into the wallet. As of 21 October 2026, JazzCash charges nothing for that withdrawal, but Payoneer’s standard 3% charge applies, with a USD 5 minimum withdrawal.

The wallet tier matters. JazzCash lists monthly credit limits of PKR 1,400,000 for a Freelance Digital Account, PKR 3,000,000 for an Asaan Digital Remittance Account, and PKR 300,000 for Level 1 basic accounts, as of 21 October 2026. The Freelance Digital Account also has a maximum balance of PKR 3,000,000.

Ask the teacher about available wallet capacity rather than assuming the published monthly ceiling is still available. Agree separately on per-class, hourly or salary pay for tutors; the payment route should carry the agreed earnings, not decide how you calculate them.

How do you pay teachers in Egypt, and where does InstaPay fit?

For Egypt, Wise (wise.com) offers an EGP bank transfer route to individual and business accounts, according to its guidance as of 21 October 2026. InstaPay serves a different job: domestic transfers when the payer has an Egyptian bank account. Do not present InstaPay as a way for an overseas academy to send international payroll directly from a foreign account.

Wise says the transfer needs the recipient’s name and a 29-character IBAN. You must also choose a purpose-of-payment category. Select the category that describes the payment, and resolve uncertainty with the provider before sending instead of choosing a category merely to continue.

As of 21 October 2026, Wise lists a maximum of EGP 5,000,000 per transfer and says transfers usually arrive the same working day. Keep the transfer confirmation with the teacher’s earnings record, then confirm receipt with the teacher rather than treating an estimated arrival time as proof of payment.

According to InstaPay’s published information, checked 21 October 2026, domestic transfer fees have been 0.1% since 1 April 2025, with a minimum of EGP 0.50 and a maximum of EGP 20. Limits are EGP 70,000 per transaction, EGP 120,000 daily per bank, and EGP 400,000 monthly per bank.

Use those domestic limits when your academy pays from an Egyptian bank account. Keep the international transfer decision separate. A domestic fee cap does not tell you what a foreign-to-EGP transfer will cost.

Can you pay teachers in Bangladesh through banks, bKash or Nagad?

For Bangladesh, check sender eligibility before choosing a destination. As of 21 October 2026, Wise (wise.com) lists bank accounts, bKash and Nagad as BDT destinations, but states that “business transfers to BDT are not allowed.” Ask Wise what that restriction means for your account type and teacher payments before treating the listed routes as available to your academy.

Do not assume a personal account makes a business-related payment acceptable. A supported destination and an eligible transfer are separate checks. If the provider cannot confirm your intended use, settle that question before the payroll date.

Wise lists a bank-transfer maximum of BDT 995,000 per transfer as of 21 October 2026. For bKash and Nagad, Wise lists limits of BDT 250,000 daily and BDT 450,000 monthly. A wallet destination therefore needs a different limit check from a bank destination.

bKash describes another route: the teacher opens or links Payoneer through the Remittance section, then transfers earnings to bKash. As of 21 October 2026, bKash lists a minimum transfer of BDT 1,000. Confirm the applicable charges and eligibility in the provider account before agreeing on the teacher’s net payment.

Wise also describes Bangladesh’s Cash Incentive for Inward Wage Remittances: a 2.5% recipient incentive, with documents needed above BDT 500,000, as of 21 October 2026. bKash describes a 2.5% government incentive for remittances through legal channels. Do not add an incentive to promised teacher earnings before confirming that the particular payment qualifies.

Those incentive descriptions come from the providers’ pages; they do not establish your payment’s eligibility. This is general information, not legal or tax advice; check with an adviser in your country. For the sender’s account setup, read using Wise Business in an academy alongside the BDT restriction.

The comparison uses provider rules checked 21 October 2026. A large transfer ceiling does not establish that your sender account, payment purpose, or recipient account qualifies. Choose the eligible route first, then check the amount and fees. Recheck the linked country guidance before sending because a saved recipient can still be subject to changed provider rules.

Keep the payment review practical:

  1. Confirm the teacher’s receiving account, account type, and preferred currency.
  2. Check the sender’s eligibility and the destination’s current limits.
  3. Agree who bears fees and whether the agreed amount is before or after charges.
  4. Save the quote and transfer reference, then confirm the teacher’s receipt.

What will conversion, transfer and withdrawal fees cost?

The useful cost is the difference between what your academy pays and what the teacher can use. Compare the conversion, transfer, and withdrawal stages rather than a single advertised fee. As of 21 October 2026, the supplied Wise (wise.com) country guidance does not provide a fixed quote for your transfer, so use the provider’s live calculator before approving payment.

According to Payoneer’s pricing page, checked 21 October 2026, sending to another Payoneer account in the same country can cost up to USD/EUR/GBP 4.00. For accounts in different countries, the listed charge is up to 1% plus up to USD 4.00. These are published bounds, not a quote for your academy.

Payoneer lists bank withdrawal charges of 1.2% to 4%, with a minimum fee up to USD 20.00 in some countries, as of 21 October 2026. Pakistan and Egypt are not in its USD 1.50 local-withdrawal list. Do not apply that local-withdrawal price to teachers there.

The JazzCash withdrawal charge is a separate route-specific figure. Avoid combining a general bank-withdrawal percentage with the JazzCash percentage unless the provider’s actual quote shows both charges. Ask the teacher to check the withdrawal screen so your comparison follows the route the teacher will use.

Record the agreed earnings, sending currency, provider charge, receiving amount, and transfer reference. Decide who bears fees before payment; a deduction discovered after withdrawal is harder to resolve than a clear agreement made beforehand.

Halqora calculates what each teacher is owed from class outcomes; the money goes out through your payment provider, such as Wise (wise.com), Payoneer, or a bank.

Why can’t teachers simply open a Wise balance or Mercury account?

Receiving money and holding a provider balance are different services. As of 21 October 2026, Wise’s balance eligibility list does not include Pakistan, Egypt or Bangladesh. A teacher can still receive an eligible local transfer without holding money with Wise (wise.com). Set up the receiving account the supported transfer route requires instead of making balance ownership a payroll condition.

Mercury concerns the academy’s side and is for US entities. According to Mercury’s prohibited-country guidance, checked 21 October 2026, founders living in, or businesses operating in, Pakistan or Bangladesh cannot open accounts. The restriction concerns residence rather than citizenship. Egypt is not on that list; absence from the list does not establish account approval.

Provider access also does not settle paperwork. Keep the teacher agreement and payment records alongside any applicable forms. The guide to tax forms for foreign teachers covers that separate topic. This is general information, not legal or tax advice; check with an adviser in your country.

How Halqora handles this

Halqora is management software for online academies. Its teacher payroll for online academies calculates pay for one-to-one classes from hourly rates and fixed outcome rules. Completed classes need internal teacher reports before payroll for the period can proceed. Admins review unresolved outcomes and record late or wait minutes.

Halqora does not send teacher payouts or convert payroll currencies. You arrange the transfer through your payment provider and mark the teacher payment paid after checking the payment record. Keep the earnings calculation and transfer confirmation together so the teacher’s class record explains the amount you sent.
