Can teachers use our own course books in class?
Yes. Upload the PDF workbooks and readers your school has rights to use to the classroom's book library. The teacher's page stays in sync for the student, and both can annotate it with a pen, highlighter, arrow and eraser. A whiteboard and screen sharing with annotation are in the same classroom, so a lesson needs no second tool.
Will lesson times stay right when the clocks change?
Yes. Each recurring lesson is stored in a named time zone, so it keeps its agreed local time when Europe or North America changes the clocks, even for a student in a country that doesn't. Every teacher sees their own calendar in local time: a 7:00 pm lesson in Seoul shows as 12:00 pm for a teacher in Cape Town.
Is Halqora a fit for group courses?
Not today. Halqora schedules, bills and pays teachers for one-to-one lessons, with one teacher and one student per class. It also has no placement tests, levels module or course enrolment pages. Schools built around private lessons are the fit.
Can students pay in their own currency?
Yes. Each student has a billing currency, and invoices stay in it without conversion; your dashboard shows an approximate USD total. Students pay into your own PayPal, Stripe, Wise or Mercury account, and Halqora matches each payment to its invoice. Mercury sync is USD only, and siblings on one family invoice share a currency.
How much does Halqora cost for a school with 120 students?
On Academy, USD 2.50 per active student per month with a USD 99 minimum, 120 active students cost USD 300 a month; annual billing gives 2 months free. Starter is USD 39 a month for up to 25 active students. An active student has a class scheduled or taught that month. Free data import and a 14-day pilot are included.
