Can students pay for a month of lessons in advance?
Yes. Set a student to prepaid and each monthly billing run invoices the lessons scheduled for that month at the student's rate. The next invoice reconciles that forecast against billable lessons, with a credit line when fewer ran. Billing runs create drafts you review before anything is sent. Halqora bills month by month from the schedule rather than selling fixed lesson packages.
Do tutors write progress notes?
After each completed lesson, the tutor submits a report: a star rating, a summary of what was covered and the homework. Tutors see their own reports and admins see all of them; families don't see them through their links. Payroll for a period waits until the required reports are in. There is no score tracker or practice-test module.
Can different tutors teach IELTS, SAT and GMAT?
Yes. Set up each exam as a subject and assign tutors to the subjects they teach. Every lesson is one-to-one, and each student has their own rate and billing currency, so an IELTS student in Dubai and an SAT student in Lagos can be billed differently.
What happens when a student cancels close to the lesson?
A cancellation with at least 3 hours' notice is not charged; later cancellations and no-shows are charged in full unless an admin grants an emergency exception. A tutor cancellation is never billed to the student. For prepaid students, the next invoice's reconciliation applies the same rules.
How much does Halqora cost for 80 test prep students?
On Academy, USD 2.50 per active student per month with a USD 99 minimum, 80 active students cost USD 200 a month; annual billing gives 2 months free. Starter is USD 39 a month for up to 25 active students. An active student has a class scheduled or taught that month. Free data import and a 14-day pilot are included.
